Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 1 teaspoon ground espresso
  • 2 teaspoons demerara sugar
  • 3 ounces cold brew coffee (such as Grady's)
  • Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Combine the Irish whiskey and espresso in a small bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain the whiskey through a coffee filter into a cocktail shaker.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir the demerara sugar and 2 teaspoons of hot water until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Add the demerara syrup and cold brew to the cocktail shaker, then fill it with ice.
  5. Shake the mixture until the outside of the shaker is frosty, about 30 seconds.
  6. Strain the cocktail into a Collins glass filled with ice and top it with whipped cream.
