Ingredients

  • 1/16 cup strong coffee (equivalent to 1 tablespoon)
  • 1-2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 5/8 cup heavy cream (equivalent to 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a strong coffee, ideally espresso, and add the desired amount of sugar to the hot coffee.
  2. Refrigerate the coffee until it is very cold, preferably overnight.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Slowly drizzle in the cold coffee while continuing to beat the cream until it thickens.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour.
  6. Gently stir the coffee cream together before serving in small glasses, slightly larger than espresso cups.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle with cocoa or chocolate flakes before serving.
