Ingredients
- 2 cups seedless watermelon flesh
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 1/3 ounces silver tequila
- 1 ounce fresh orange juice
- Ice
- Lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out 2 cups of the pink flesh.
- Blend the watermelon and lime juice until smooth and frothy.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher.
- Optional: Spread salt on a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass; dip the rim into the salt.
- Combine 1 cup watermelon juice, tequila, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously.
