Ingredients

  • 3 oz merlot or other red wine, chilled
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 sachet Mulling Spice Blend
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 2 oz frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1/4 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup club soda

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of wine, sugar, and the mulling spice blend. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool before discarding the sachet.
  3. Pour the cooled mixture into a pitcher and add the remaining wine. Chill thoroughly.
  4. Add the orange juice, frozen strawberries, orange slices, and club soda to the pitcher.
