- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 vanilla bean, split and scraped
- 1/2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream liqueur
- 1/2 oz brandy
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon for garnish (optional)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar for garnish (optional)
- Honey for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low/medium heat, combine the milk, maple syrup, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, and scraped vanilla bean.
- Stir and heat the mixture until hot and steamy, but avoid boiling to prevent scalding the milk (cook for 5-7 minutes).
- Remove the saucepan from the heat, discard the cinnamon stick, and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Add the brandy, Bailey's Irish Cream, and vanilla extract to the saucepan, and stir to combine.
- For garnish, mix the cinnamon and sugar on a plate, then coat the edges of the serving glass with honey and dip them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Pour the cocktail into the prepared glass, and serve.
