Vibrant Ginger Village Cocktail
A vibrant and refreshing cocktail with tequila, allspice dram, lemon, fuji apple, honey, and ginger, served over crushed ice and garnished with mint.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz blanco tequila
- 1/2 teaspoon St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
- 1 1/2 oz fuji apple juice
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz honey syrup (2 parts honey to 1 part water)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1/4 cup finely grated ginger
- 1 cup demerara sugar
- 1 cup water
- sprig mint (garnish)
Instructions
- In a shaker, combine the tequila, allspice dram, fuji apple juice, lemon juice, honey syrup, ginger syrup, and grated ginger.
- Shake the mixture with 3 ice cubes for about 10 seconds.
- Strain the cocktail into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
- Top the drink with 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- Garnish the cocktail with a sprig of mint and serve with a straw.
- To make the ginger syrup, combine demerara sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add grated ginger and simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer and let it cool to room temperature.
