Ingredients

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 black tea bag (or mango flavored black tea bag)
  • ice
  • 2.50 ounces whiskey
  • 2 ounces mango juice (or pureed mango)
  • 0.50 ounce orange juice (or orange liquor)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (like monk fruit, xylitol, or honey. Can also use a few drops of liquid Stevia to sweeten )
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • fresh mint (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 cup of water in a kettle over high heat.
  2. Remove from the heat and transfer the water to a heatproof pitcher or vessel.
  3. Add the tea bag and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Discard the tea bag and let the hot tea cool down to room temperature.
  5. Using a cocktail shaker, fill it halfway with ice.
  6. Add the whiskey, mango juice, vanilla, orange juice, and sugar.
  7. Shake vigorously to combine and chill.
  8. Transfer to a highball glass filled with ice and garnish with fresh mint (optional).
