Ingredients
- 4 oz brut champagne
- 1 oz mango juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1 tbsp pomegranate juice
- 1 tbsp brandy
- 1 tbsp spiced simple syrup (recipe below)
- 1 tbsp fresh cranberries
- Garnish: candied orange slice, additional fresh cranberries
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 tsp whole cloves
- 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and sliced
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, star anise, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and ginger for the spiced simple syrup. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once the mixture boils and sugar is dissolved, remove from heat.
- Cover and let the mixture steep for 15 minutes, then strain out the whole spices and ginger. Let the simple syrup cool completely before using.
- In a large pitcher filled halfway with ice, stir together champagne, mango juice, pineapple juice, pomegranate juice, brandy, spiced simple syrup, and fresh cranberries.
- Serve in cups with additional fresh cranberries and ice. Garnish with a slice of candied orange.
