Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg yolk, beaten
  • 1/2 cup cream of coconut
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup white rum
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, combine evaporated milk and beaten egg yolk. Cook over simmering water until thickened and reaching 160 degrees F (71 degrees C).
  2. Transfer the mixture to a blender and add cream of coconut, sweetened condensed milk, rum, water, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves. Blend for about 30 seconds until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a sterilized glass bottle and refrigerate. Serve cold or over ice, if desired.
