Ingredients
- 2 oz Seville orange juice (about 1 Seville orange)
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz good quality vodka
- 0.50 oz Infused Simple Syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- Zest from 1 Seville orange
Instructions
- Using a vegetable peeler, peel the zest from one Seville orange, ensuring to remove any white pith.
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and the orange zest. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the orange zest infuse the syrup for 30 minutes. Then, remove the orange zest and transfer the syrup to a small bottle or jar. Refrigerate the remaining syrup for other uses.
- Juice the Seville oranges and set the juice aside.
- Fill a large cocktail shaker with ice, then add the Seville orange juice, Cointreau, vodka, and infused simple syrup. Stir until well combined and the mixture is cold.
