Ingredients

  • Peels from 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp fine-grained raw sugar
  • 2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 oz VSOP cognac or Armagnac
  • 1 oz Jamaican dark rum
  • 5 oz cold water
  • Garnish: freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl or pitcher, muddle the lemon peels with the sugar and let it sit for 3-4 hours.
  2. Add the lemon juice and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour in the VSOP cognac, Jamaican dark rum, and cold water, then stir to combine.
  4. Add a block of ice to chill the punch.
  5. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg before serving.
