Ingredients
- 2 oz hulled strawberries
- 2 tbsp sugar (can add more to adjust sweetness)
- 1 cup water, divided
- 1 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 1/2 oz vodka, plus more to taste

- In a food processor (or blender), blend the strawberries with 1/2 cup of water until smooth.
- Strain the strawberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing lightly with a spatula to extract the juice. Discard the pulp and seeds.
- In a saucepan, make a simple syrup by simmering the remaining water and sugar until dissolved. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
