Ingredients

  • 1 oz mezcal
  • 1 oz sweet or semi-sweet red vermouth
  • 1 oz Campari
  • Ice, for serving
  • Orange peel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail mixing glass, combine the mezcal, sweet vermouth, and Campari.
  2. Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir continuously for 30 seconds.
  3. Place ice in a lowball or Old Fashioned glass, and strain the drink into the glass.
  4. Use a knife to remove a 1'' wide strip of the orange peel, then squeeze it into the drink to release the oils.
