Smokey Coconut Fizz
A sophisticated cocktail featuring blended malt whisky, toasted coconut syrup, and a hint of smoky peated malt whisky, topped with a velvety foam.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz. blended malt whisky (Monkey Shoulder recommended)
- 1 1/2 oz. toasted coconut syrup
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 oz. curaçao (Pierre Ferrand recommended)
- 1 fresh egg white
- 2 dashes absinthe
- 1 tsp. peated single malt Scotch whisky (Laphroaig 10 year old), to rinse
Instructions
- Chill a large coupe glass, then rinse it with the peated malt whisky and discard the excess.
- In a shaker, combine the remaining ingredients and shake without ice until foamy.
- Add ice to the shaker, shake again to chill, then strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
