Ingredients
- 1/2 oz Absinthe (for rinsing)
- 2 oz Sazerac Rye
- 1/2 oz Simple syrup
- 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
- 1 lemon peel (used as garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse a rocks glass with the Absinthe, fill it with plenty of ice, and set it aside.
- In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the Sazerac Rye, simple syrup, and Peychaud's bitters. Stir until well chilled.
- Empty the ice and Absinthe from the rocks glass.
- Strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into the prepared rocks glass.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
