Ingredients

  • 2 T. confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 3 T. shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 T. grenadine
  • Ginger ale
  • Lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 2-3 maraschino cherries
  • 1 candy cane

Instructions

  1. Mix water with confectioners sugar until smooth and no lumps remain.
  2. Dip the rim of a glass in the sugar mixture, then immediately dip into coconut. Repeat for additional glasses if needed.
  3. Fill the prepared glass with desired amount of ice.
  4. Add grenadine to the glass.
  5. Fill the remainder of the glass with equal parts of ginger ale and lemon-lime soda.
  6. Garnish with maraschino cherries and a candy cane.
