Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1 lime (peel)
- 6 (14 oz.) cans condensed milk
- 2 (12 oz.) tins evaporated milk
- 3-4 dashes Angostura bitters
- 3 cups rum
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated cinnamon
Instructions
- Crack eggs into a large mixing bowl, removing the white membrane from each egg.
- Add lime peel to the eggs and whisk until frothy using an electric mixer or handheld whisk.
- Slowly pour in condensed milk while whisking vigorously, then add the evaporated milk and the entire bottle of rum.
- Mix in the freshly grated nutmeg thoroughly and discard the lime peel.
- Strain the mixture through a fine colander and pour it into sterile glass bottles for storage.
