Ingredients
- 5 oz plums, scrubbed clean
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 oz white wine
- 2 oz vodka
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Coarsely chop the plums, keeping the pits, and place them in a bowl.
- Sprinkle the plums with sugar and mix well. Allow the mixture to macerate until the sugar has dissolved, approximately 30 minutes.
- Transfer the plum mixture to a large airtight glass or plastic container.
- Stir in the white wine and vodka, then cover and refrigerate for 7 days to let it macerate.
- After 7 days, strain the mistelle and serve it in glasses over ice. Alternatively, mix 1 part mistelle with 2 parts cava, Prosecco, or other bubbly wine.
- The mistelle can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
