Pear Lavender-Mint Fizz
A delightful and refreshing cocktail made with Anjou pear puree, herbal mint tea, and lavender soda.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup ripe Green Anjou USA Pears, cored, unpeeled, cut in 3/4-inch chunks
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 filterbag Tazo Refresh Herbal Infusion Mint Tea with Tarragon
- 3/8 cup boiling water
- 3/8 cup Lavender DRY Soda
- 3/8 cup Anjou Pear Puree
- Fresh lavender sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine pears, water, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes until pears are softened and the liquid has reduced.
- Process or blend the pears until smooth, then refrigerate the puree until cold.
- Steep the mint tea in boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove the filterbag and refrigerate the tea until cold.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cold tea, lavender soda, and pear puree. Stir gently to reduce some of the carbonation.
- Pour the beverage mix over ice cubes in a cocktail shaker, then gently shake for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Strain the mixture into a glass, garnish with a lavender sprig, and serve immediately.
