Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 3/4 cups coconut cream
  • 3 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 2 1/4 cups condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup Nutella spread
  • 2-3 oz white rum

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, whisk together egg yolks and 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk over steam until thick, about 5-6 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thickened evaporated milk-egg mixture with coconut cream, coconut milk, and condensed milk. Add Nutella, spices, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the mixture into a blender in small batches. Optional: strain the mixture through a fine colander.
  4. Stir in rum and mix well.
  5. Store the coquito mixture in glass bottles.
