Ingredients
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
- 1 3/4 cups coconut cream
- 3 1/2 cups coconut milk
- 2 1/4 cups condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp clove
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup Nutella spread
- 2-3 oz white rum
Instructions
- In a double boiler, whisk together egg yolks and 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk over steam until thick, about 5-6 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thickened evaporated milk-egg mixture with coconut cream, coconut milk, and condensed milk. Add Nutella, spices, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into a blender in small batches. Optional: strain the mixture through a fine colander.
- Stir in rum and mix well.
- Store the coquito mixture in glass bottles.
