Ingredients

  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Splash of cold water
  • 2 oz bourbon

Instructions

  1. Place the torn mint leaves and simple syrup in a Julep cup, Collins glass, or double old-fashioned glass.
  2. Use a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon to muddle the mint and syrup together to release the mint's aroma.
  3. Fill the glass 3/4 full with crushed ice.
  4. Pour in the bourbon and add a splash of cold water.
  5. Stir well until the glass becomes frosty.
  6. Garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy!
