Ingredients

  • 2 oz. White Tequila
  • 1 1/2 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 oz. Freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1/2 oz. Agave syrup (Optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Activated Charcoal Powder
  • honey for rimming
  • black lava salt for rimming
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Rim the glass by dipping it into honey and then into black lava salt or margarita salt. Place the glass in the freezer until ready to serve.
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine lime juice, Cointreau, tequila, agave, and activated charcoal. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Pour the margarita into a 4-6 oz. glass filled with ice, preferably crushed.
  4. Garnish with a lime or orange wedge and serve!
