Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 oz non-alcoholic "gin"
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
  • 1-2 tsp simple syrup or maple syrup
  • Fresh mint for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Sift the matcha into a small bowl, add hot water, and whisk until smooth and frothy.
  2. In a shaker, combine the prepared matcha with "gin," lemon or lime juice, and simple syrup or maple syrup. Shake well to blend the ingredients.
  3. Add ice to the shaker, and shake vigorously to chill the mixture.
  4. Strain the mixture and gently pour it into a glass.
  5. Garnish with a mint leaf if desired and serve.
