Ingredients
- 1 organic lemon peel
- 0.34 fl. oz (10 ml) alcohol 95%
- 0.40 fl. oz (12 ml) water
- 0.85 oz (24 g) sugar
Instructions
- Peel the yellow part of the lemon skin and remove any white parts.
- Place the lemon peel in a jar and add the alcohol. Close the jar and store it in a dark place for 3 days, stirring the peel once a day.
- After 3 days, in a pot, heat the water and sugar over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not let the solution caramelize.
- Strain the lemon infusion and combine the alcohol with the sugar solution at room temperature.
- The Limoncello should have a bright yellow color, not be transparent.
- Serve the Limoncello neat, cold, or at room temperature.
