A fragrant and crisp pale ale-based punch, infused with warm holiday spices, perfect for festive gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 cardamom pod
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 star anise
- 6 oz. pale ale
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 oz. dark rum
Instructions
- Peel, core, and quarter the apple.
- Tie up the cardamom, cinnamon, and star anise in a piece of cheesecloth.
- Place the apple and wrapped spices in a pot and add the pale ale and honey.
- Simmer on medium-low heat for about 20 minutes; then remove from heat.
- To serve, pour 1 ounce of dark rum into a mug, then top with the ale mixture.
