Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Melissa's Jamaica blossoms
- 1 cup hot water
- 1-2 tablespoons cardamom syrup (adjust to taste)
- Cardamom syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tablespoon lightly crushed green cardamom pods
Instructions
- To prepare the syrup, bring the sugar, water, and cardamom pods to a boil in a saucepan.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the syrup to steep for 30 minutes before straining and refrigerating it.
- For the hibiscus cooler, steep the hibiscus flowers in hot water for 15 minutes in a large pitcher, then strain and refrigerate until cold.
- Stir in 1-2 tablespoons of the cardamom syrup into the hibiscus infusion, adjusting the amount to achieve your preferred level of sweetness.
