Ingredients
- 1 cup grapefruit juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 heaping tablespoon dried lavender flowers
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce grapefruit lavender syrup
- 4 ounces prosecco
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Instructions
- In a saucepan over low heat, stir together grapefruit juice, sugar, and dried lavender flowers until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until it reduces considerably.
- Remove from heat, allow to cool, and then fine strain. Bottle and refrigerate. The syrup should keep refrigerated for about 2 weeks.
- In a mixing glass, combine vodka and grapefruit lavender syrup, and stir to combine.
- Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour in about 4 oz of prosecco.
- Add the combined vodka and syrup mixture to the glass.
- Top off with another small splash of prosecco and add 2 dashes of orange bitters.
- Garnish with sliced citrus and fresh thyme.
