Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz honey syrup
  • 1 large ice cube

Instructions

  1. Prepare the honey syrup by combining honey and warm water in a sealed container and shaking until well combined. (Honey syrup makes 1/2 cup and can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 week.)
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  3. Add the bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and 3/4 ounce of the prepared honey syrup to the shaker.
  4. Shake the mixture until chilled, approximately 15 seconds.
  5. Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with one large ice cube.
  6. No garnish needed.
