Ingredients

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 3/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1/4 oz absinthe
  • Optional garnish: Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Chill a cocktail glass and pour in the absinthe. Swirl to coat the glass, then pour off the excess.
  2. In a shaker, combine the rum, maraschino liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Add ice to the shaker and shake until the mixture becomes frosty cold.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass.
  5. Optionally, float a star anise on top of the drink as a garnish.
  6. Enjoy!
