Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4-inch piece ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon allspice berries
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • 1/2-1 oz gingerbread syrup

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, combine brown sugar, water, chopped ginger, allspice berries, cloves, cinnamon stick, and black peppercorns.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let the syrup cool for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup and store in an airtight container. This makes enough syrup for 6-8 drinks.
  4. In a shaker, combine vodka, coffee liqueur, heavy cream, and gingerbread syrup.
  5. Add ice, shake for 30 seconds until cold and frothy.
  6. Strain into a glass and garnish as desired. Cheers!
