Ingredients

  • 1-2 ounces gingerbread syrup
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 2 ounces half and half
  • 1/2 ounce Kahlua
  • Ice
  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla frosting
  • 2-3 Tablespoons festive sprinkles
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. If making your own gingerbread syrup: In a medium saucepan, heat water and sugar over medium heat, whisking together until it becomes steamy and the sugar dissolves. Add molasses, ground ginger, and cinnamon. Continue whisking for 2-3 minutes more until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. To rim the glass, add a few Tablespoons of Christmas sprinkles to a shallow saucer. Using a butter knife, spread a thin layer of frosting on the rim of the glass. Dip the frosting-covered rim into the sprinkles.
  3. Fill the glass halfway with ice, then add the vodka, half and half, Kahlua, and 1-2 ounces of gingerbread syrup to taste.
  4. Give the drink a gentle stir to combine, then enjoy!
