Ingredients

  • 12 oz orange juice concentrate
  • 12 oz lemonade concentrate
  • 4 tea bags
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 cups whiskey
  • 9 cups water, divided
  • 7UP or Sprite

Instructions

  1. Thaw the orange juice and lemonade concentrates; partial thawing is acceptable.
  2. Boil two cups of water and steep with 4 tea bags for about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in sugar until completely dissolved.
  4. Pour the tea mixture into a large pitcher and stir in the remaining 7 cups of water, orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate, and whiskey until the concentrates are fully dissolved.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a container, such as a gallon-sized ice cream bucket, and freeze for 24-48 hours. Note that the alcohol content will prevent the mixture from freezing completely.
  6. To serve, fill a glass halfway to three-quarters full with the slush, then top it off with 7UP or Sprite. Stir and serve.
