Ingredients

  • 4 oz Maker's Mark Bourbon
  • 1 oz Granulated Sugar
  • Juice of 3 Lemons
  • Juice of 3 Oranges
  • 4 oz Tea
  • 1 oz Champagne
  • Freshly grated Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Peel the oranges and lemons, keeping the peels.
  2. Juice the oranges and lemons.
  3. Combine sugar and citrus peels in the bottom of a punch bowl and muddle together until sugar starts to clump.
  4. Let it sit for about 2 hours to add complexity (optional).
  5. Brew the tea for about 30 minutes, remove loose tea or tea bags, and allow it to cool.
  6. Add the juice of the peeled fruit, tea, and bourbon to the punch bowl and stir.
  7. Top with champagne just before serving and stir gently.
  8. Top with freshly grated nutmeg and serve.
  9. If fresh nutmeg is not available, garnish with citrus wheels or fresh fruit.
