Fizzy Citrus Bourbon Delight
A delightful party punch with zesty citrus, bourbon, and a hint of bubbly champagne.
Ingredients
- 4 oz Maker's Mark Bourbon
- 1 oz Granulated Sugar
- Juice of 3 Lemons
- Juice of 3 Oranges
- 4 oz Tea
- 1 oz Champagne
- Freshly grated Nutmeg
Instructions
- Peel the oranges and lemons, keeping the peels.
- Juice the oranges and lemons.
- Combine sugar and citrus peels in the bottom of a punch bowl and muddle together until sugar starts to clump.
- Let it sit for about 2 hours to add complexity (optional).
- Brew the tea for about 30 minutes, remove loose tea or tea bags, and allow it to cool.
- Add the juice of the peeled fruit, tea, and bourbon to the punch bowl and stir.
- Top with champagne just before serving and stir gently.
- Top with freshly grated nutmeg and serve.
- If fresh nutmeg is not available, garnish with citrus wheels or fresh fruit.
