Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 oz dark rum
  • 1/4 oz brandy
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Ground nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the egg, sugar, and milk. Whisk the mixture until well combined.
  2. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, for 6 to 8 minutes until it thickens and coats the back of a wooden spoon.
