Ingredients

  • 1.50 ounces good quality vodka (e.g., Grey Goose)
  • 0.50 ounces Hoodoo (chicory liquor) or your favorite coffee liquor
  • 1 ounce freshly brewed espresso
  • 0.50 ounces brown sugar simple syrup (recipe in Notes)
  • Enough ice cubes to fill the shaker
  • 3 coffee beans for garnish (optional but lovely)

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Pour all the ingredients over the ice in the shaker.
  3. Securely place the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously to combine.
  4. Strain the ingredients into a cocktail glass, coupe, or Nick and Nora glass.
  5. Garnish with three coffee beans.
