Ingredients
- 2 oz Cynar
- 1/2 oz chocolate syrup
- 1 large egg
- Fee Brothers whiskey barrel-aged bitters
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stir together sugar and water until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cocoa powder until completely dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool and then refrigerate it until ready to use.
- Add a whole egg to the bottom of a shaker and break apart the yolk and whites using a barspoon or fork.
- Pour in the chocolate syrup and Cynar.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- Double strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
- Top the cocktail with whiskey barrel-aged bitters and serve!
