Ingredients
- 2 oz Cynar
- 1/2 oz chocolate syrup
- 1 large egg
- Fee Brothers whiskey barrel-aged bitters
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine sugar and water. Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in cocoa powder until fully dissolved. Let the mixture cool, then refrigerate until ready to use.
- Place the egg in a shaker and use a barspoon or fork to break apart the yolk and the whites.
- Add the chocolate syrup and Cynar to the shaker, then fill it with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
- Double strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
- Top the cocktail with whiskey barrel-aged bitters and serve!
