Ingredients
- 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest (zest of 1/2 an orange)
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce (made above)
- 1/2 cup sparkling water
- 1 tablespoon orange juice (juice of 1/2 a large orange)
- 1.50 oz Gin
- Ice (for cocktail shaker & cocktail)
- 1 dried orange slice
- 1/4 cup sugared cranberries
- 1 sprig rosemary
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, water, rosemary, and orange zest. Simmer over low heat until the cranberries burst.
- Remove the rosemary sprig and set the cranberry sauce aside to cool.
- Juice the orange while the cranberry sauce is cooling.
- Add the cooled cranberry sauce to a cocktail shaker and muddle the cranberries to release any remaining juice.
- Fill the cocktail shaker with ice, pour in the fresh orange juice, and seal the lid. Shake until the glass is frosted.
- In a glass, add 2-3 ice cubes and pour 1/4 cup of the cranberry orange syrup from the cocktail shaker.
- Add 1/2 cup sparkling water and 1.5 oz Gin to the glass, then stir together.
- Garnish the cocktail with a dried orange slice, sugared cranberries, and a sprig of rosemary.
- Serve and enjoy!
