Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons cranberry simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Champagne or prosecco, chilled
  • Orange slice and cranberries for garnish

  • 1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer cranberries, sugar, and water to make the simple syrup.
  2. Let the cranberries steep in the syrup for 10 minutes, then strain and discard the cranberries.
  3. Chill the cranberry simple syrup in the fridge until cold; it can be made in advance.
  4. Pour 3 tablespoons of orange juice into a champagne flute.
  5. Add 1-2 tablespoons of cranberry simple syrup to the flute, depending on desired sweetness.
  6. Top the flute with chilled champagne or prosecco.
