Citrus-Blossom Dream Fizz
A refreshing and frothy cocktail with citrusy and floral flavors, topped with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- A few fresh lemon verbena leaves (optional)
- Peel from 1/4 orange
- Peel from 1/4 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon orange-flower water
- 3/4 cup ice
- 1 tablespoon gin
- 1 tablespoon whipping cream
- 1/2 large egg white
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- Freshly ground nutmeg
- Fresh lemon verbena sprig (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, mix water, sugar, and lemon verbena leaves. Add orange and lemon peels, then bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 5 minutes and let it cool. Stir in the orange-flower water and set aside.
- In a blender, combine 3 tablespoons of the prepared syrup, ice, gin, cream, egg white, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and foamy. Pour into a glass.
- Repeat the blending process for the remaining ingredients and pour into another glass.
- Sprinkle the drinks with freshly ground nutmeg and garnish with a lemon verbena sprig, if desired.
