Canadian Maple Twist

A sweet and bold old fashioned cocktail made with Canadian Maple Syrup and Rye Whisky.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Canadian Rye Whisky
  • 1/2 oz maple syrup
  • 3-4 dashes angostura bitters
  • 1 strip of orange peel
  • 1 cherry (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a short glass, combine the maple syrup and whisky and stir until the maple syrup is completely dissolved.
  2. Add a few dashes of angostura bitters and stir briefly.
  3. Place a large ice cube in the glass and stir for about 40 seconds, until the drink is chilled.
  4. Twist the orange peel over the glass to release the oil and drop it into the drink.
  5. Serve with a cherry if desired. Enjoy responsibly!
