Ingredients
- 1 large egg (yolk separated from the white)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/6 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1-2 tablespoons good quality bourbon
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 whole nutmeg (grated)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, beat the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of sugar until thickened.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg white with 1/2 tablespoon of sugar until peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the whipped cream, then fold in the egg white mixture.
- Stir in the milk, bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, and 2/3 of the freshly ground nutmeg.
- Pour into a glass and sprinkle with a small pinch of the remaining ground nutmeg before serving.
