Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 2 1/2 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 tsp allspice berries, crushed
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 2 tbsp spiced hibiscus syrup (from above)
- 1/3 tsp lime juice (from 1 lime)
- 1 2/3 oz good quality brandy
Instructions
- In a saucepan, boil water and add hibiscus flowers, sugar, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, and cloves.
- Let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, then strain the mixture to obtain the spiced hibiscus syrup.
- Combine 2 tbsp of the spiced hibiscus syrup with lime juice and brandy in a glass.
- Stir well and serve warm.
