Ingredients
- 1.20 oz frozen blueberries
- 2/3 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/3 oz water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 fresh sage leaves
- 1.50 oz gin (optional)
- 2 oz Prosecco (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized pot over medium-high heat, combine frozen blueberries, lemon juice, water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture comes to a simmer.
- Muddle the berries well, then add the sage. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from the stove and let it sit overnight or for several hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- Strain the blueberry mixture, pressing down hard on the berries to release their colorful juice.
- Place the blueberry sage syrup in a glass beverage container.
- Add gin and Prosecco, and garnish with a few sage leaves and lemon slices.
