Blackberry Bliss Sangria
Blackberry Bliss Sangria is a delightful mix of fresh blackberries, elderflower liqueur, tequila, and pinot noir, topped with a hint of soda and garnished with berries and lemon, creating a perfect summer sipper.
Ingredients
- 1.25 oz fresh blackberries
- 1.50 tbsp superfine sugar
- 1 oz elderflower liqueur (such as St-Germain)
- 1 oz blanco tequila
- Ice
- 5 oz pinot noir
- 2 oz lemon-flavored soda or blackberry-flavored seltzer (optional)
- Blackberries, lemon wheel, fresh rosemary sprig for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing glass, muddle the fresh blackberries with superfine sugar until crushed and juicy.
- Add the elderflower liqueur and tequila, stirring until the sugar dissolves to create a dark syrup.
- Fill a pitcher about a quarter-full with ice and pour in the pinot noir.
- If desired, strain the blackberry syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into the pitcher, pressing gently on the leftover solids to extract as much liquid as possible, or simply pour the blackberry mixture into the pitcher.
- Top with soda or seltzer, if using. Stir to combine.
- Garnish each glass with blackberries, a lemon wheel, and a sprig of rosemary, then serve.
