Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon light rum
  • 1 teaspoon creme de cacao
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, half-and-half cream, egg yolk, and sugar. Cook over medium-low heat until thickened.
  2. Blend the ripe banana in a food processor until smooth.
  3. Pour the milk mixture into a pitcher, stir in the banana puree, rum, creme de cacao, vanilla, and remaining milk and cream.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
