Ingredients

  • 2 shots of Starbucks espresso (cold)
  • 1/4 cup of lowfat or skim milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of milk powder (optional for a creamier foam)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of egg white powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional)
  • Caramel syrup (for topping)
  • 3/4 cup of ice

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the milk and meringue powder.
  2. Beat the mixture at medium-high speed until it becomes foamy.
  3. Gradually add the sugar (or vanilla simple syrup) while continuing to beat the mixture.
  4. Once the foam resembles a loose meringue, add the vanilla extract if desired.
  5. Fill a 16-ounce glass with ice and pour in the two shots of espresso.
  6. Gently pour the prepared foam over the espresso.
  7. Drizzle caramel syrup over the foam for a finishing touch.
