Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon demerara sugar
  • 1 oz. strong cold-brew coffee
  • 1 oz. fernet
  • 3/4 oz. amaro
  • 3/4 oz. Orangerie Scotch whisky
  • 1 orange twist (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a jar, combine the demerara sugar and 1 tablespoon of hot water. Shake until the sugar is dissolved and then chill the mixture until cold.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the cold-brew coffee, fernet, amaro, Orangerie Scotch whisky, and the demerara simple syrup.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until the outside becomes frosty, about 30 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange twist.
